An elegant French Farmhouse Cherrywood Dining Table estimated early/mid 19th Century. Three thick tongue and groove planked top, showing years of great use. A frieze with a single draw towards one end and an extendable serving board at the other. The table is constructed with pegged mortice and tenon joints, with square and tapered legs giving it that air of elegance.
2.0m in length (without extendable serving board) - reaches 2.8m when pulled all the way. 0.8m in height and 0.7m in width. Seats 8 comfortably, more if you use the serving board for additional plates! The crack displayed at the top of one leg is more of a cosmetic than a functional flaw and quite common in tables built this way. The table remains to be a solid and sturdy piece of craftsmanship, happy to further demonstrate its stability if asked.
Very sad to be letting this table go, it has some stories to tell! But it's destined for a big home with a big heart. The item "19th Century French Fruitwood Farmhouse Dining Kitchen Table" is in sale since Thursday, October 29, 2020.
