Antique French Chandelier, late 19th century. A beautiful antique French chandelier dating to the late 19th century.
The chandelier comprises of a bronze frame and super sparkly crystal drops. The chandelier is mainly in its original form and is to be used with candles, as originally intended.
However, to the top of the central stem are three electric light points that accommodate light bulbs, meaning the chandelier can look original with candles but can also be used to light the room! The chandelier features a bronze stem decorated with foliage issuing six scrolled candle branches draped in multi-faceted octagonal crystal button drops linked with multi-faceted pear shaped crystal drops.The central baluster stem issuing two tiers of ornately scrolled branches hung with further multi-faceted crystal drops. The base of the chandelier finished with a multi-faceted glass drop.
Due to their high led content, once the sunlight / light hits the chandelier, the crystal drops reflect the colours of the rainbow throughout the room. The effect of this is truly stunning in person.Condition: Overall, the chandelier is in excellent condition for its age and usage. The chandelier displays very well, the droplets are in very good condition and the ormolu retains a very good colour. 105 cm high with chain and ceiling rose. 51 cm high excluding chain and ceiling rose x 57 cm wide.
