Antique French cherry / fruit wood COFFER / DOUGH BIN blanket box restoration

A French fruitwood dough bin / coffer. It would hve been used for proving bread dough.

It measures 108cms wide by 58cms deep by 74cms tall. The fruit wood is probably cherry and has super grain pattern.

Mid 19th Century provincial piece. Lots of age and wears it's history well.

Currently the lid is free (the metal pins of the primitive hinges are not attached to the back of the coffer), photos 7, 8 and 9. Lots of old woodworm holes and patches of damage, fully treated!

Photos 3, 4 and 5. Repairs to underneath, photo 11. Lots of marks, pot rings etc, very well used, photo 2. For restoration, or could be used as is if you don't mind the top not being attached.
