Today we are pleased to offer for sale a fabulous antique French Victorian vase! This exquisite piece of old Paris porcelain dates to the 19th century and is finely crafted and detailed. The vase is marked on the underside "W" but otherwise un-marked although it bears a resemblance to the works of renowned designer Jacob Petit. The piece is finely crafted and detailed and made of white porcelain.
The double-gourd shaped vase features ornately curled branch handles and rests on a gilt base. The whole is hand-painted with lovely colorful flowers and further enhanced with lavish gilded details. The piece will make a fine addition to any collection! The vase presents well and is in good antique condition, with minor display wear and patina commensurate with age. The porcelain has no chips or cracks.Some of the gilding is worn off. Please review all photos before purchasing.
