Antique French Victorian Diamond 18K Bi-Color Gold Wide Bangle Bracelet in Box
A 19th century French antique wide diamond bangle bracelet in original fitted box. This lovely bangle was probably made during the transition period from Etruscan Revival to Art Nouveau. Its two-tone rose and yellow gold multidimensional centerpiece is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau period, with flower bud-like design and foliate embellished with rose cut diamonds, culminating in a rose-cut diamond crowned dome. With applied bead-works and wire-works reminiscent of the Etruscan Revival period.
A wide bangle bracelet measuring 1-1/2 from each end of the centerpiece. The bracelet tapers from 1 to 5/8.
Stamped on clasp with the French eagle head hallmark within a cartouche indicating 18K gold. Also stamped with maker's mark. Measurements: internal circumference of approximately 6-1/2 and fits a wrist of this size. Condition: This bangle is in its original antique condition and has not been polished, so there are few small dimples and some scratches. Overall in very good condition as seen on photos. Comes with its original leather fitted box with fleur-de-lis metal opening.
The box is missing the padding that snug-fit the bangle in place, so the bangle is somewhat loose in the box.
