In overall good antique condition with some wear. This one is truly extraordinary. I have never seen a memory like this before. It represents a couple in wedding clothes, around a stelle on which are engraved the following inscriptions. On september 29, 1820, Désirée, Hippolythe, were united for life. The set is painted and decorated with glued hair. The most extraordinary is the history that we find on the back of the small box that protects everything!! Here is what is written. Insects having attacked this hair, I had to dismantle this frame and repair it on December 19, 1915, Sunday.
This hair is that of my great-grandmother Désirée Marie, first wife of Hippolythe Mirande, mother of my grandmother Gabrielle Ferrien, née Mirande. It is signed Marcel Mirande.
