The spine is a medium tan leather with a darker lined detail giving it the appearance of a book. The front and back are walnut, with the grain visible.
The back has two small beads, that stop your surfaces from being scratched, you can see there used to be four by two are missing. The clasp has a beautiful shape on either side with small studded detail and the front has a metal shield, with the same studding detail as the clasp. There is some wear to the top left corner of the spine with the rope detail showing through, and the bottom is worn. The album itself has a range of different cut outs for photos, some are oval, square, small and large. You will also see part of the album has a range of photo's including, distinguished gentleman, ladies, & small children.There are also some cards in there. Care will be needed though as some of the pages are loose.
