Antique Victorian Napoleon III earrings. 18k gold and foiled citrines. Made in France, circa 1850 - 1890.Measurements: Weight is 3.7 grams. Length, not including wires approximately 1 1/2 inches (a little under 4cm). Pair of long ear pendants from the period of Napoleon III or possibly earlier. Simple gold wires with a hinged wire catch, support a pair of colette-set citrines, foiled and closed at the back. Below, a loop connects to a long, knife-edge gold bar that can swing and sway as the wearer moves. At the bottom is a larger citrine, also closed and foiled. The color appears honey-like orange, with a deep glow. These earrings are very comfortable to wear and versatile.
