Rare French Country cold painted Spelter metal figural Woodpecker bird sitting on a branch as a desk top Inkwell and marble base pen rest. Detailed quality to the bird's body and face as well as a woodsy backdrop bird tree branch mount and square Victorian linear box for inkwell. Color tones and patina are gorgeous.

Marble base 8 1/2 " long x 5 1/2 " wide x 3/4 " tall x 6 " bird statue. There is no glass insert but an easy replace, requires 1 interior hole. Old natural reddish patina with appropriate wear and 95 + % cold paint retention. A heavy piece, this will be well protected for its journey.
