A large sized pan with a maker's stamp on the handle for'A La Menagere, Bd Bonne Nouvelle 20, Paris. Dimensions - 30cm dia x 12.5cm deep / Handle length 27cm / Rim 2.7mm / Weight 4.3kg. Of very good quality, this family sized pan has a cast iron handle firmly fixed with three copper rivets and is tin lined. In very good used antique condition with associated marks and wear.

The hammered finish has worn low from years of use and cleaning but is still visible in the patina. The tin lining is darker grey in places which happens through use. There is no copper bleed. A La Menagere, on the ground floor of the magnificent building at 20 Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle was one of the greatest retail emporia in Paris from its inception in 1863.
