ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FRENCH SAINT ESPRIT PASTE NECKLACE STERLING SILVER CIRCA 1850. This magnificent Antique Victorian French lavaliere necklace has been modelled in Sterling Silver and set with an array of sparkling white Paste stones. The lavaliere also features the form of a dove in flight, known as a Saint Esprit which is topped with a crown.

A Saint Esprit is a religious symbol that was popular in France during the 18th and 19th century. It features a dove in flight often carrying an olive branch of peace and was a symbol of the Holy Spirit. A beautiful necklace which comes with a secure and ornate clasp.
