The previous owner called them'Charles X' (Georgian era 1820 - 1830), but I believe they are a few decades later. Measurements: approximately 1 3/4 inches (4.75cm) long.Description : Unusual design in these complex earrings. A gold bar holds a trio of violet red garnets.
Sweeping over them is a double circle of tubular gold with a half circle of pearls in raised mounts. The gold outer circle suspends a trio of garnets followed by elongated tear-drops of engraved, textured gold set with small pearls in flower like collettes. The three suspended drops swing and sway as the wearer moves. Very attractive and impressive earrings. Earrings, like all original Victorian/older earrings go from back to front of ear lobe.
Marks: Wires are hallmarked with French marks. Condition: Good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures and don't hesitate to ask questions which we will do our best to answer. Add Me to Your Favorite Sellers.
