Antique Victorian Napoleon III pendant or scarf ring. 18k yellow gold and emeralds. Made in France, circa 1860.
Unisex - suitable for a man or a woman. Measurements: Weight is 8.7 grams. Length is approximately 1 7/8 inches (46mm). Description : Formed as a snake. The head of the serpent overlapping the top of his coiling body and thus forming a ring through which one could either hang a chain or thread a scarf.
The body in the form of coils, which would aid in holding a scarf in place. Lovely textured surface and small, emerald eyes. Very good, solid French workmanship. Marks and Metal: French eagle head mark for 18k gold, made in France at the tip of the tail.
