Antique Victorian Ring 18k Gold Pearls Blue Enamel French Napoleon III (6346)
Antique Victorian Napoleon III ring. 18k gold, sky blue guilloche enamel and natural pearls. Made in France, circa 1860. Measurements: a little smaller than a US size 6. Description: Simple yellow gold band. The bezel is in the form of an'8' or a pair of circles, each outlined in gold with a ring of blue guilloche enamel encircling a pearl. The pearl is held from the back in a gold mount and from the front, appears to float, unconnected to the enamel surrounding it. In the 19th century, all pearls were natural pearls, so we can assume that these are natural pearls. Very attractive and wearable today. Marks: French owl mark for 18k gold of unknown maker.
