Antique Vintage Shop Trade Sign Toleware Metal Bicorn Hat Coat Hook French

A great toleware bicorn hat trade sign. The blacksmith made bracket has a hook on it too, likely to hold an open/closed sign (it would look fantastic with any signage hung from it at all), which means it would make an excellent and unusual coat or hat hook! In excellent order so likely contemporary with little age, though if you Google this piece you will see identical pieces described as 19th century so we leave you to make up your own mind. What's certain is that it's striking, decorative and most unusual!

Height 49cm top to bottom. Width 4cm central part-10cm at splayed top/bottom. 74cm x 26cm x 26cm. Overall protrusion 42.5cm from wall when assembled.
