The walnut case has a beautiful age patina and colour.

Their are also various bronze ormolu mounts all in excellent condition. To the top you have an embossed bell with a figure stood on top with the automaton hammer in his hand. Comes with its original matching wall bracket. Clock is in great condition for age and looks beautiful wherever displayed with only minimal age wear. Original engraved silvered chapter ring dial.

Roman numerals & original hands with brass mounts around the chapter ring. Dial is in excellent condition. Original F rench 8 day gong striking movement. Strikes the gong on the half past and the hours.

Comes with its French fixed pendulum and a new winding key. The hammer on the back of the movement is connected to the hammer on top which moves in sink with the movement hammer giving the automaton effect. Movement is in full working order keeping time and striking as it should as can be seen in the video above. Victorian - Mid - Late 19thc. The clock itself measures 17.5 inches high x 8 inches wide x 5.5 inches deep. The clock on its bracket measures 23.75 inches high x 9 inches wide x 6.75 inches deep. This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. Looks absolutely fantastic wherever it is displayed and a true talking point of any room.
