It oozes opulence, style, taste & class that only true English furniture like this can really achieve, its simply eye catching. Burr Walnut refers to the swirling figure present in nearly all walnut when cut and polished, and especially in the wood taken from the base of the tree where it joins the roots. However the true burr is a rare growth on the tree where hundreds of tiny branches have started to grow. Marquetry is decorative artistry where pieces of material (such as wood, mother of pearl, pewter, brass silver or shell) of different colours are inserted into surface wood veneer to form intricate patterns such as scrolls or flowers. This grand dining table is of the very highest quality from the materials used by the way its been hand constructed by highly skilled craftsman. Its in the classic, elegant Regency style with also quite a large Chippendale influence in the design & comes with fantastically carved legs & lions paw feet. It has a rectangular shaped curved top, with stunning carved roped edges. It comes with 2 add in leaves & is truly magnificent, & will arrive in wonderful showroom condition.

It's been French polished in a spectacular warm Burr Walnut colour to show off the beautiful patterned movement in the eye catching top & will have once again that deep lustrous shine & gleam to it that still only hand French polishing can achieve using the very finest modern table top French Polishes & materials to obtain the stunning finish we desire. Which also now give quite a hard & heat resistant finish compared to the old French Polishes of the past. This very attractive table will very comfortably seat 10 plus people & would make an excellent new addition. The dimensions are as follows. Fully extended with both extra leaves added: 131 inches, 333 cm or 10.9 feet.
