A fantastic antique French 19th century Ladies Bourdoir Clock cast out of brass or bronze. The case has various rococo elements including acanthus leaves, horns of plenty, wreathes, rooster heads, a mask, torchere and a pair of serpants.
The dial also has a sunburst surround. The timepiece benefits from a white enamel dial hand painted with black numerals with hanging floral borders, Fancy gilt hands and housed behind a concave glass door. The clock contains a Brass platform driven movement. I have had this clock going and it is working well and keeping good time.
