Offered for sale is this fabulous and striking grey painted pine chest of drawers. Continental in it's origin this chest stands on four turned bun feet, it has four full width drawers, the top drawer having a shaped and carved front, the lower three drawers having beaded edges, the bottom drawer being deeper than drawer 2 and 3. All drawers have black ceramic handles and brass escutcheon.

Either side is adorned with carved detail and a column. The top has been left unpainted and waxed. As with most continental furniture of this type, there is evidence of woodworm, however this is old with no evidence of recent activity and has been thoroughly treated to prevent any further problems. Overall this chest is in very good solid condition for its age having been refurbished.

It has been stripped, any necessary repairs carried out along with woodworm treatment covering every inch of the chest, both inside and out. The painted surfaces have been prepared, primed with top quality undercoat/primer then painted, sanded between coats, the final coat sanded and lighyly distressed before being polished with a clear wax. The overall look is stunning and unique. Clearly due to its age there will be marks and scars commensurate with its age and use, that said nothing which will affect the integrity or look of the chest. The photos are an exact representation of what you are purchasing. The dimensions are; 38 inches wide, 23 1/2 inches deep, 36 inches high.
