French Antique Barbotine Majolica Palissy Ware Plate with Apples by De Bruyn. Very good condition consistent with age approximately.

Some of the very delicate leaves have small chips. Pri marily chipping of glaze where shape of leaf is mostly intact with minimal loss. Damage is not noticeable without very close inspection.

The bottom of the plate has staining that appears as though some type of coating has partially worn off. The bottom of the plate generally has wear consistent with age, while the front still displays beautifully.

Decorative wall plate (plaque, dish, charger). Applied hand-molded, hand-painted, high-relief (3-dimensional) sculpture. Of apples in stages of ripeness with leaves hanging from branch/limb. 2 small holes on the bottom base with wire strung through them for hanging. 2 markings - an embossed marking and a painted marking.
