French Antique Locket With handpainted Portrait

Silver plated Antique Locket with hand painted Porcelain Portrait from France! The technique used in this period was handpainted watercolors on wafer paper and often fine Matt porcelain. This locket in my professional opinion is most likely from the late 1700's to early 1800's of a " Noble woman ". It is silver plated and has a glass partisan to protect the painting. Measurements are 2 inches x 1 3/4 wide. Note with a delicate hand the painting can be removed at your own risk of course?
