A Victorian wrought iron bed that would have been used as a cot. These are fantastic to use in bay windows as additional seating, and really compliment the shabby chic/vintage rustic interior. The sides flap down for ease of movement, where one side can be left flat, creating a day bed effect with high sides. These really make a statement piece when adorned with cushions and throws, making them very comfortable to use both in and outdoors.
In addition, people also use them as plant displays stands in gardens. This piece retains old remnants of paint, giving it a really worn and chippy look. If you wanted to use it indoors and prefer a cleaner finish, they can very easily be painted with products that allow painting straight over rust - found cheaply in local hardware stores.
The item retains it's little original castors to three legs, where one leg has no castor for stability. Please message me with any questions; courier welcome. The item "French Cast Iron Day Bed/Cot Bed, Victorian era Iron Garden Seat with Castors" is in sale since Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
