French VICTORIAN Antique Old Cut Oval 7 Ctw CITRINE Drop Pendant Dangle 14k Gold

Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by! Special and large drop pendant set with 3 pale yellow oval citrine and one cushion cut. It appears handmade with leaf/ feather like hand engraved and jointed design in 14k rose and yellow gold and a rivet on the bottom. This is a French piece from the 1800s, may be a regional jewel. But what is really special about it is the condition. It is well over 100 years old but looks like it was rarely worn with a beautiful shine and polish to the stones. The top two feather like brackets are a more yellow gold and the bottom two more rosy, both with antique patina. This is marked with the French shell hallmark for 14k gold on the back on both the top bracket and the side feather. The citrine measure: 12x9mmx4.8, 11x8x5mm, 9x7mm and 5x4mm. So just using online calculations, around 7 to 8 carats total weight of citrine.

It weighs 4.1 grams. The pendant is almost 2 1/4 top to bottom by 1 inch wide.

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition. But this one is in better than most for its age. No major wear to the citrine, they have a beautiful sheen and polish. There is a crease on the back of one that does not look like damage, but a naturally occurring fissure that was polished over when it was cut / made. Very sweet piece from a very special era.
