French woman's clothing White antique lace bodice shirt Victorian textile

Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! Look at this beautiful bodice!! I date this to the mid to late 1800's Very very delicate, I didn't want to iron it, so it looks a bit wrinkly! This textile is French, white lace sleeves and the body is a VERY fine cotton. Lovely lace inserts tiny wonderful mother of pearl buttons This textile is an amazing piece for study.

It's far too delicate to wear MEASUREMENTS : Length: 16 inches long Chest: 32 inches Waist: 22inches Shoulders across the back: 14 inches Sleeves: 20 inches long from shoulder seam to cuff CONDITION : This blouse is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are holes in this bodice especially on the left facing side (please use the zoom feature to view condition closely) There are tiny holes here and there. A few missing buttons There are some holes in the lace collar also. Ideal for study / restoration (condition reflected in the price) Inventory : bodice 889.
