This is a pair of antique French spelter pricket candlesticks dating to the late 19th century, with fluted column stems and ornate bases incorporating the faces of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, so likely from a church or chapel. Measuring 37cm tall and weighing 1.3kg they are in very good condition with only a loss and tiny split to one pricket tip, and a slight bend to one sconce; they are a large and appealing pair. Large Antique French Church Pricket Candlesticks Late 19thC 37cm Tall. I have collected glass and ceramics, antiques and antiquities for many years, and my shop philosophy is to sell very good antiques at.
Quickly so I do not need to carry much stock; larger shops will charge much more, but take much longer than I do to make a sale. Each to their own, then - but that makes my prices ultra-low compared to a bricks-and-mortar antiques shop. I try to describe everything I sell as honestly as possible, including any damage, issues, or attributions to a maker, in my descriptions. Please don't ever leave negative or neutral feedback without speaking to me - we can always come to a solution. Get Supersized Images & Free Image Hosting.
