Large Antique French Victorian Dovetailed Copper Oval Roasting Serving Tray Dish

Antique French Victorian copper oval serving dish. Hand crafted, there is a dovetail joint running up the side behind one of the handles. The ornate bronze handles are firmly fixed with copper rivets.

Dimensions - 49cm L x 31cm W x 6.5cm D / Height including handles 14cm / Weight 3.3kg. A well made dish, in good solid condition with surface marks and wear associated with its age and use. I have left it as I found it so it would probably benefit from a clean and polish. It sits steadily on the counter.

A stunning way to present your fish or meat joint in the centre of the dining table at your dinner party. It could also be tinned if preferred and would make a fantastic roaster pan. A splendid pan which would make a super addition to any kitchen copper cookware collection.
