This is an imposing clock in fine antique condition together with its original winding key and when in operation it has a lovely melodious tick and nice subtle chime. All-in-all a collectable example of a substantial Victorian slate mantel clock, with a great look, superb detailing and in fine condition fro its age. The dial has Roman numerals in a brass mount with centre in gilt metal and face that's showing some age-related tarnishing giving it a lovely patina. The glass front cover is also in generally good condition for its age. The clock's dimensions are as follows.
Width 16 inches (41cm) - height 19 inches (49cm). And the clock is shown next to a bottle of wine in one of the listing photos to give you an idea of its true size and presence. Owing to the weight (approx 20kg plus packaging) and delicacy of this item, collection (from Glasgow) would be preferred, or I can deliver locally in person.
