Above the base is an ornate spherical shaped knop with three equally spaced beads, each having a different design, one of which is a fleur de lys. These beads are made to look like applied jewel decoration. Above the ball is a small ribbed conical spacer supporting a drip pan or tray with a scalloped and pierced rim in fleur de lys shapes.
On top of the drip pan stands a tall capital or sconce that is pierced in four places around the diameter with a low relief ornate lidded vase decoration. The sconce has a detachable blind nozzle.
These beautiful candlesticks are in excellent antique condition with the usual very minor marks and signs of use. Each candlestick measures 4 inches deep (10 cm) at the base and 9 inches (22.8 cm) tall, the nozzle will take a 7/8 inch (2.1 cm) diameter candlestick. They weigh 1.761 kg unpacked. They would make a great addition to any dinner table, mantelpiece or side table.
