Pair Antique Victorian Candelabra Girandoles French 19th Century Bronze Ormolu
19th Century Crystal Girandoles, circa 1820. A fine pair of French Candelabra, early 19th century, circa 1820. An outstanding pair of French two-light candelabra girandoles dating to the 19th century and completed in the neoclassical style. Each girandole features a white Carrara marble column flanked by two curved ormolu candle branches draped in clear multi-faceted drops, the central multi-faceted crystal spire issuing two tiers of slender ormolu branches linked and hung with further cut crystals, surmounted by a crystal finial. The pair raised on a stepped Carrara marble base with decorated with ormolu collars. Due to their high led content, once the sunlight / light hits the girandoles, the crystal drops reflect the colours of the rainbow throughout the room (we have tried to capture this in the pictures).
40 cm high x 25 cm wide. Overall in very good condition, with some small signs of age and usage. Please ask any questions that you may have.
