Pair of Antique French Victorian Gothic Griffin Candle Wall Light Sconces. A fine pair of French brass/bronze Griffin candle wall sconces. A great decorative quality pair with great character that will enhance any collection or home and become a talking point. Superbly quality fine casting with good crisp detail and quite a rare pair with the longer wings.

The pair measure around 8.75'' in length from the wall bracket. 9'' in height from the tallest point inline with the lowest. The pair weigh 1.530 kilos unwrapped. Condition is overall very good and sturdy.

The hanging plates are not original to the pair of griffin candle holders but are from the same period... They have a slight rose tone as shown....

But does not detract in anyway. The pair are listed as brass.... Though could be bronze as evidence of old gilt on reverse/underside areas. Will display superbly in any period, contemporary setting.
