RARE LARGE FRENCH SOLID SILVER PHEASANT BIRD POUNCE POT DESK ANTIQUE c1890 8+inc

A rare French export good sized solid silver pounce pot. It is hallmarked with the French export weevil mark and the German makers marks of Johann S.

Kurz & Co who operated from 1870s to 1960s. It has been superbly designed being cast in the form of Pheasant. It is in superb condition being free from dings holes and repairs. 4.75 inches (12cm) tall to the top of the head by 8.5 inches (21.5cm) wide beak to tail end by 2 inches (5cm) wide and weighs 176 grams. A top quality rare and very unusual piece.
