Extremely Rare Victorian French 19th Century 18K Gold Green Heart Shaped Crystal Pendant Locket! Hallmarked with a partial eagles head on the loop between the locket and the bale indicating it is composed of 18K gold of French origin. Weighs approximately 5.6 grams.

Approximately 3.55 cm (1 5.5/16 inches) in height including top loop but excluding bale, and approximately 2.5 cm (15.5/16 of an inch) in width at the hearts widest section. The color green represents life and fertility and the two hearts represent the traditional French toi et moi, you and me, and take apart we have three hearts representing the Holy Trinity, all united for one exceptional beautiful locket. I have seen these hearts seldomly come into the market but in a clear crystal heart, I have yet to encounter another green one which makes this lovely find even rarer, so grab it while you can! One of green crystal heart shaped cover has a clearly visible chip on the left side clearly visible in the 7th image-however when placed with the gold heart frame it is not visible, and the same heart shape crystal has a few abrasions with the larger one being above the chip clearly visible in the same image, the entire piece has some other light abrasions and signs of use which is only to be expected for such an old piece.
