Wonderful Antique French Victorian 64'' Solid 18K Yellow Gold Necklace Chain 26g
An extremely fine quality heavy antique Victorian French 64 inch solid (not gold plated, rolled or filled) 18K yellow gold long guard necklace chain. This fabulous and very long antique French 19th century long guard chain is nice and heavy and very finely made, the oval links created in rich solid 18K yellow gold with two strong and secure spring clasps. The chain is twice marked with the French eagles head for 18K gold and maker's mark'IE' in a lozenge. The chain tests for 18K gold. The chain measures approximately 65 inches long.
The links are approximately 0.65mm thick and about 3mm long. The two clasps (one doubles as a jump ring) measure about 12mm and 8mm wide.
The chain has a total weight of approximately 26.0 grams. The chain is in excellent condition with all over light general wear.The clasps are in excellent working order.
